Association of Rheumatologists of Tamil Nadu (ART) which was established in 2006 is a Tamil Nadu state chapter of Indian Rheumatology Association. The objectives of this association are to create awareness about Rheumatology among health care providers and the society, to organize academic programs and to encourage research in the field of Rheumatology. ART organizes Continuing Medical education programs for the doctors as well as the paramedical workers regularly. ART conducts CME s for the undergraduate as well as post graduate students at the State Medical Colleges. It conducts annual state level conference for the Rheumatologists regularly. ART has organized national as well as international conferences in the past. ART encourages research by the students by sponsoring an amount of 1.5 lakh every year. It conducts health awareness programs for the public through social media platforms regularly. ART is publishing a quarterly journal in Rheumatology for the benefit of Physicians and Rheumatologists. It takes part in all the activities of the Indian Rheumatology Association.
